Quite honestly, all I have been able to dig up regarding this amazing Polish animator is that he was born in 1941, and these three films. This is brilliant work, unlike any cut-out animation I have seen before, especially due to the acute use of focus in the last two. But I'll let the films speak for themselves. Enjoy.

The true treasure is yet to come! Very soon now I should be recieving an ultra-rare bootleg DVD of 5 Jan Lenica animations from England. Lenica's films are, quite literally, impossible to find. They have never been released in any sort of home video format. I'll be sure to post, post, post when it comes in. ;)

Happily, this isn't actually true - PWA's superb 'Anthology of Polish Animation' double-DVD set contains two Lenicas ('Dom' and 'Labyrinth') as well as Czecala's 'Roll-Call'. And 25 others.
More details here - and I believe they have plans to release a dedicated Lenica set at some point.
